Don’t Feed the Machines

Food and energy on the rise

Cars and housing coming down

Unprecedented volatility

Occurring all around

Not enough guns to fuel the funds

Of their blown-out Monopoly game

If the banks don’t depart they’re funded in part

By fools that paid fortunes for fame

The $100K truck with electronic junk

Is throwing your money away

But it’s a good thing that it doesn’t have wings

When the batteries burst into flames

Now they have found cobalt under the ground

Above seeds already sown

Now cut the water supply and let it all die

And make the media leave it alone

The robots rejoice a new energy source

While waiting on humans to die

Is this world run by Homo sapiens

Or simulated A.I.

The final surprise in the camera’s eye

When radiation and starvation begins

Not much of a race, robots running in place

Then bring the next clean-up crew in
